Mullins is a sweep of white sand with palms and calm, clear turquoise water on the west coast, between Holetown and Speightstown. It is one of the busier beaches on this coast. The Sea Shed restaurant and bar sits right on the beach. Loungers are for hire, and operators offer jet skis, tube rides, glass-bottom boat trips and inflatables for children. The palms give some shade. The water is easy for most swimmers, but there is no lifeguard. A small coral reef, especially at the northern end, is good for a first snorkel, and turtles are sometimes seen there. It fills up by late morning, so arrive early for a spot under the palms. On calm evenings, stay for the sunset.
