Coco is a four-bedroom, four-bathroom townhouse in the private estate of Mullins Bay, St. Peter, with landscaped tropical gardens around it. Mullins Beach, known well beyond Barbados, is a 2-minute walk away on the island's West Coast. The house is built with coral stone features throughout and has air conditioning in every room. Bathrooms are finished with marble floors and vanities, and the kitchen has granite countertops and is well equipped. A private cook is on hand to prepare local Barbadian dishes, so you can leave dinner to someone else while you mix the rum punch. Inside, the rooms are light and open, with a tropical feel. The terrace outside is spacious, shaded by nearby trees, and set up with separate areas for dining and sitting. All four bedrooms have their own en suite bathroom, along with built-in wardrobes and a safe in each room. Out in the garden there is a hot tub for evenings after the beach, and the garden opens onto a large communal, free-form swimming pool with a cascading waterfall. A short walk brings you to the Royal Westmoreland Beach Club and Restaurant, which guests can use throughout their stay, with complimentary towels, sun-loungers, umbrellas and waiter service included. Water sports can be arranged there for an additional fee. Coco sits just minutes from Speightstown, where you can get lunch at Orange Street Grocers or one of the other restaurants nearby, or visit the Arlington House Museum for some local history. A round of golf at Royal Westmoreland or Sandy Lane can also be arranged. The Mullins Bay estate has gated access and 24-hour security, so there is little to think about beyond the holiday itself.
