Brandons Beach
Long, calm beach a short walk from the cruise terminal, with loungers, showers and a beach bar

Brandons is a long stretch of white sand along the Spring Garden Highway, just outside Bridgetown and within walking distance of the cruise terminal. The water is generally calm and good for swimming, though there are a few rock and reef patches with sea urchins, so water shoes help. A lifeguard and beach security are on duty, and there are changing rooms, toilets and showers, loungers and umbrellas for hire, and picnic tables under the trees.
On cruise days it is a favourite with passengers. Arrive early or late for more space. A beach bar-restaurant serves local food, and watersports run from the beach: kayaks, Hobie Cats, banana boats and jet skis. Catamarans heading out on turtle trips sail past offshore. The Mount Gay rum visitor centre is a couple of minutes' walk away.
