Monkey View sits on a quiet cul-de-sac in Mullins, St. Peter, a short walk from the beach. This single-level home has 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms, built in a style that nods to traditional Barbadian architecture with a columned entrance and coral stone accents throughout. The open plan living and dining room runs under vaulted ceilings and opens through French doors onto the terrace and pool, so the line between indoors and out barely exists. Furnishings are kept to soft neutral tones with natural textures and a few tropical touches. The kitchen has wood cabinetry, granite countertops and modern appliances, and works equally well for a private chef or for cooking yourselves. Outside, a covered terrace holds a lounge area, space for al fresco dining and a bar that looks over the pool, good for a long lunch or drinks as the sun goes down. The pool itself is edged with potted palms and sun loungers under navy umbrellas, with gardens of flowering hedges and tropical planting giving the whole space privacy. It is a house built around time spent outdoors. Monkey View is set in Mullins Bay, within reach of Sea Shed and Mullins Beach Bar for beachfront meals, Speightstown for a more local feel, and Holetown for its shops and restaurants. Golf, catamaran trips and turtle swims are all a few minutes away. Guests have full, exclusive use of the house, and a Beach Club Membership at Fairmont Royal Pavilion is included. House rules: no events, no smoking, no pets.
