Worthing Beach
Reef-sheltered south-coast swimming, shallow at the east end, with beach bars and a lifeguard.

Most Bajans call this Sandy Beach. A coral reef sits close offshore and shelters the water, so the eastern end is shallow, around 2 to 6 feet, warm and calm: good for children and new swimmers, and the lifeguard is stationed there. Heading west the sea gets deeper and livelier. Loungers and umbrellas are for hire, there are toilets, showers, changing rooms and picnic tables, and a couple of beach bars serve rum punch, flying fish and fish cakes.
The reef is close enough to snorkel from the shore, with plenty of tropical fish, and turtles are often seen. There's a public volleyball net and room for long walks. One local quirk: the beach borders Graeme Hall wetland, and when the sluice gate is opened to drain it the beach can close for a few hours.
