Archer's Bay
Clifftop picnics and big Atlantic views at the island's northern tip, not a swimming beach.

Archer's Bay is near the northern tip of the island in St Lucy, close to St Swithin's Church. A grassy, casuarina-shaded park sits on top of the coral limestone cliffs, with benches and picnic tables and wide views over the sea and rock formations below. Paths and steps lead down through shady woodland to a narrow sandy beach, which is best reached at low tide.
Don't swim here: the sea is rough all year, with a strong undertow and rocks. There are no toilets, vendors or lifeguard, and it's usually close to deserted, so bring what you need. You'll need a car or taxi; buses stop nearby but not at the bay. It pairs well with the Animal Flower Cave to the north and Harrison Point Lighthouse to the south.
