Windward sits inside the Sandy Lane Estate on the West Coast, St James, about 5 minutes from Holetown and roughly 45 minutes from the airport. With 5 bedrooms and 5 bathrooms, it works well for a family group or a gathering of friends who want their own space. The ground floor is built on one level throughout, which makes it workable for wheelchair users or anyone with limited mobility. Five bedroom suites are spread across two storeys - three upstairs and two on the ground floor. The Principal Suite upstairs has its own study, a large air-conditioned bedroom with a king size bed, a full-length patio reached through French doors, a dressing area and a bathroom finished in floor-to-ceiling marble with a double vanity, bath and shower. The two other upstairs suites differ in outlook: one opens through French doors onto a private patio with garden and pool views, the other looks over the courtyard. Downstairs, the garden bedroom suite has French doors leading to a private patio with direct access to the gardens and pool deck. Indoors, the main living area is open plan, with French doors running its full length that fold back onto a covered veranda, joining inside and outside into one space for entertaining. Steps down from the veranda pass a Lotus and Koi water feature on the way to the garden and pool. There is a separate air-conditioned media room with a 50” Smart TV, surround sound, two sofas and a desk, and an air-conditioned gym fitted with cardio and weight machines to a professional standard. Two dining areas each seat 10: a formal dining room backed by a serving area with a sink, ice machine, small fridge and iPod dock, and an outdoor dining gazebo, reached along a short covered walkway, with a circular coral stone table looking over the landscaped gardens. The kitchen has ceiling fans, professional-grade equipment, marble finishes and a breakfast bar, with a laundry area and staff facilities next to it. Outside, a wide coral stone deck wraps around the pool, set up with sun loungers, umbrellas, and a table and chairs. The pool house has a covered bar area, a barbecue and toilet facilities with a shower. A full complement of staff is on hand throughout your stay, and all linens and towels are supplied, including separate towels for the pool and the beach.
