Schooner Bay sits on a quiet stretch of beach in Speightstown, St. Peter, on Barbados' west coast. The development's grounds are landscaped around a free-form swimming pool set among gardens that run straight down to the sand. Lusca, named after a legendary Caribbean sea creature, is a fully refurbished two-bedroom apartment within the development, just steps from the beach and with use of the communal pool. The open-plan living room opens onto a patio with views over the pool and the sea. The kitchen is fully equipped with new stainless steel appliances, and there is a separate laundry room. Both bedrooms are air conditioned and each has its own private ensuite bathroom, making two bathrooms in total. Guests staying at Lusca have the run of Schooner Bay's wider facilities: a jacuzzi, a gym, the free-form pool, and the sea itself for swimming. Sun beds by the pool and on the beach are kept for Schooner Bay guests only. Watersports can be arranged through Cobblers Cove Hotel, a short walk from the apartment, which also has its own bar and restaurant.
