Honeycomb House sits in Queens Fort, St James, a short walk down a leafy beach path to the sand. Head south along the beach and you reach Colony Club and Coral Reef in a few minutes; head north and the path leads towards Glitter Bay and Lone Star. The beach itself has been recently restored and protected, a good stretch for long walks along the water. The house was completed at the end of 2022, designed by Sophie Domenge, one of Barbados's best-known designers. It has 5 bedrooms and 5 bathrooms in total, split between the main house and a separate guest cottage. In the main house there are two en-suite bedrooms plus a twin room; their rain showers open straight to the sky and are planted with live orchids. The cottage holds two further en-suite doubles, each with its own private terrace, set either side of a small country-style kitchen - a self-contained spot for guests who want their own space. With all bedrooms of equal standing, there is no single principal room. Inside the main house there is a hidden office, a television lounge, and a sitting room decorated in soft sand tones that opens onto the dining area. The kitchen is fitted with integrated stainless steel appliances and generous storage and work surfaces. A separate lounge with a bar sits next to the barbecue area, shaded by a gazebo beside the pool. Across the water, the yoga and exercise studio has wood-toned floors, standing mirrors and large glass windows looking over the tropical garden. Air conditioning and ceiling fans are fitted throughout the bedrooms and the main living room. Outside, the private swimming pool is joined by a fire pit and a covered barbecue dining area. In the evening the garden is lit with fairy lights around the fire pit, a quiet spot behind the gates once the sun goes down.
