Point of View sits high on the top ridge of the Sandy Lane Estate in St. James, with panoramic ocean views across the west coast and out over the Caribbean Sea. The two acres of mature tropical gardens give guests plenty of room to settle in, and the sunsets here are something to watch from one of the many lounge areas or from the pool deck with a rum punch in hand. A Koi pond greets guests at the entrance, leading through to a large living room and bar area that opens on to a covered outdoor patio. The villa has 5 bedrooms and 5 bathrooms, each bedroom with air-conditioning and its own ensuite. Three bedrooms are in the main house, and the other two are set in private self-contained cottages. There is also an air-conditioned TV room fitted with day loungers. Two dining areas are on offer, one formal and one informal, for however guests want to eat. Outside, the large swimming pool is shaped like an hourglass, narrowing to a small bridge that leads across to a gazebo with its own sun deck and loungers. Children swim under the bridge between the two sections of the pool while guests pass overhead, which tends to be where the holiday memories get made. A full complement of staff is on hand throughout the stay, including a cook who will prepare local Bajan dishes on request. Guests also get full use of the Sandy Lane Property Owners Beach Facility for the duration of their stay, a private beach set-up with complimentary loungers and umbrellas, a full service bar and snackette, and on-site toilet facilities.
