Seashells sits on three storeys on the shore at Lower Paynes Bay, St. James, with a secluded feel and plenty of island character. The villa was recently renovated with outdoor living in mind, and its covered verandah and open air deck pull the Caribbean Sea and the tropical garden right into the living space. You step straight into an open-plan living and dining room, where a breakfast bar divides the kitchen from the dining area and French doors lead out to the patios. The living room has a television and the usual modern comforts, and the walls are finished in cool coral stone for a tropical touch. Outside, the patio holds two separate seating areas, a further dining table, an open air deck for sunbathing, and a plunge pool tucked away for privacy. A BBQ gazebo gives you somewhere to grill the day's catch under the stars, and a private gateway leads straight from the deck down to the sand. A curved stairwell takes you up to the bedrooms. Two guest bedrooms share the first floor. One has a king-size bed, window coolers for natural light, and a double door, now fitted with wrought iron grills, opening onto a shared balcony, so guests can leave it open to the breeze and the sound of the sea. The other has two twin beds. Both rooms come with walk-in wardrobes, their own bathroom with a shower, air conditioning and ceiling fans. The whole third floor is given over to the principal bedroom, with a four poster king bed, a seating area, cable TV and a small office nook. It has a full walk-in wardrobe, a dressing room, and a separate bathroom with both shower and bath. Its own double balcony looks out to the ocean, a good spot for coffee or a sundowner before heading out. Several well-known restaurants are within walking distance of the villa, and Holetown is a 5-minute drive away.
