La Dolce Vita sits high on the Sandy Lane Estate in St. James, catching the breeze that drifts across the neighbouring golf course. From the house you look out over the green sweep of the estate on one side and the Caribbean Sea on the other, a view that follows you through most of the rooms. The villa has 5 bedrooms and 5.5 bathrooms, built in a tropical modern style that opens the interior straight onto the gardens outside. Living and dining spaces flow into one another and out to the terraces, so there is rarely a hard line between indoors and out. Outside, the entertaining areas include a bar and generous seating built for evenings that run late, along with gazebos set beside the pools for quieter moments in the shade or under the stars. The tropical planting around the house gives the outdoor areas some privacy without closing off the views. As part of the Sandy Lane Estate, guests have use of the beach club, which has its own bar, a restaurant, live music and high-speed internet, plus sun beds, umbrellas and side tables along the beach. Tee times can be arranged on the Old Nine or the Country Club course, and spa treatments can be booked at the villa. A personal chef and butler are provided throughout the stay.
