Hectors House sits on the South Coast of Barbados, in Silver Sands, Christ Church, with views over the water from several of its rooms. The property has 3 bedrooms and 3.5 bathrooms spread across three floors, each one opening onto its own outdoor space. On the ground floor, a guest bedroom with a queen size bed and ensuite bathroom has a private patio leading straight onto the deck. From there a garden path runs through a secure gate down to the ocean bluff, a good spot for watching the sunrise. The infinity pool on this level looks out over the gardens and cliffs, and the deck has room for dining outdoors, reading or simply lying in the sun. The first floor holds the principal bedroom and a second guest room, both looking out to the ocean. The principal bedroom has a king size bed and opens fully onto a wraparound private patio fitted with a hammock and casual seating; its walk-in wardrobe and bathroom share the same garden and ocean views, visible even from the shower. The second guest room has a queen size bed, an ensuite bathroom and its own private patio. Above this floor, a small office loft looks out over the roof deck, useful for anyone who needs to work. A staircase leads up to the third floor and the roof deck itself, which has plenty of casual seating and panoramic ocean views. The fully equipped kitchen has a breakfast bar overlooking the casual lounge area, which in turn opens onto a wraparound verandah and the pool deck. Throughout the house, indoor and outdoor rooms run into each other, in keeping with the Caribbean habit of living outside as much as in, with the ocean always within earshot.
