Fresh Wind

About

About this villa

Fresh Wind sits in Apes Hill, St. James, a new build with 4 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms that favours clean, confident design over fuss. Step inside and the open-plan living area does the talking, with sculptural lighting overhead and a kitchen bar built for evening drinks as the sun goes down. Outside, the patio is set up for long dinners, with a fire pit for later and a grill for earlier, while the infinity pool looks out over the Caribbean Sea on one side and the Apes Hill golf course on the other. There is an oversized chair gazebo for lounging in the late afternoon, and a jacuzzi that shares the same views. Inside, the look is black and white with bursts of tropical colour running through it, giving the rooms a polished, considered feel. Two bedrooms have king-size beds and two have queen-size beds, and each has its own character through colour and finish. Every bedroom opens onto a private patio or terrace with somewhere to sit, good for a quiet morning coffee or a drink before bed. Two bedrooms are on the ground floor and two upstairs, so the house splits easily between groups. Upstairs there is also a second seating area and a private office. Staying here comes with membership to Apes Hill Club, which opens up the wellness centre, padel and tennis courts, golf, nature trails and the club's dining options. Apes Hill as a whole leans into that same idea, built around nature, wellness and a quieter kind of comfort rather than anything showy. Holetown, with its dining options, is 12 minutes away, and Speightstown, with its galleries, beach bars and slower pace, is 16 minutes away, so both are within easy reach whenever you fancy a change of scene.
