Eden sits on an acre of tropical gardens within the Sugar Hill estate in St. James, a colonial-style villa with a separate cottage, built around a private driveway and a marble staircase that rises to the open-plan living area. The living room carries doors on three sides that open onto a covered terrace, with views over the gardens to the Caribbean Sea. Inside, the entertainment setup includes a 42-inch high-definition television, a wide range of satellite channels, and a Hi-Fi system with Sonos wireless music, CD player, iPod link and individually controlled speakers. In total Eden has 5 bedrooms and 5.5 bathrooms. The main house holds four air-conditioned bedrooms, each with its own en-suite marble bathroom, a walk-in wardrobe, and French doors onto a wide covered patio. Furnishings mix modern pieces with plantation-style touches: freestanding dressers, chaises longues and tropical art throughout. Upstairs, the guest bedroom opens onto the upper terrace with easy access down to the pool deck. On the ground floor are three further bedrooms: two with king-size beds that can be converted to twins, and a four poster principal bedroom. All three open through French doors onto a covered terrace overlooking the pool and gardens. West of the pool deck stands a separate, self-contained cottage with its own kitchenette and en-suite bedroom. The fully-equipped kitchen opens onto the large upper terrace. By the pool, a gazebo offers a more relaxed spot for lunches or sunset drinks ahead of more formal evening entertaining, and the pool terrace itself sits amid landscaped gardens. Staying at Eden gives guests access to the Sugar Hill Clubhouse and its facilities: an air-conditioned gym, a communal pool, a restaurant and bar, and four flood-lit all-weather tennis courts. A complimentary membership to the beach club at the Fairmont Royal Pavilion Hotel is also included, covering the on-site café, sun beds, umbrellas, showers, changing facilities and rental of water sports equipment.
