Claridges Villa 5 sits within a gated development of two acres of tropical gardens on the West Coast, in St. Peter, a short walk from the white sand at Gibbs beach. The villa has 3,100 sq. ft. of living space over two levels, with 3 bedrooms, each with its own ensuite, 3.5 bathrooms in total, and a family den that can be used as extra living space. The ground floor is open plan, giving plenty of room for everyday living and for entertaining, and it opens onto a covered terrace set among dense planting, private enough for a 6ft Swedish hot tub. The house comes fitted with modern appliances, a remote security system and full networking, so day-to-day living is straightforward. The wider development was designed by architect Michael Gomes, who mixed coral stone with touches of Balinese style. Inside, the finishes run to cedar, mahogany, marble, granite and travertine, chosen to work together rather than compete. Residents share a large pool with three waterfalls, a gazebo and a beach area, set in a quiet, sunny corner of the grounds. The development is gated, with two parking spaces per villa plus separate visitor parking, and each set of villas has its own driveway and entrance. Lutron lighting and wireless alarms are fitted as standard throughout. The beach is a 5-minute walk away, reached along a semi-private path. Owners who want to let the villa out can arrange a full rental service, on either a short-term or long-term basis.
