Church Point 2 sits right on the beach in Holetown, St. James, close enough to walk to the shops and restaurants but quiet once you are back behind the garden wall. The Folkstone Marine Park and Museum is next door, so snorkelling and scuba diving are on your doorstep. The villa has 3 bedrooms and 3.5 bathrooms, done out in a casual, colourful style. The living room is spacious and opens straight onto a covered terrace, which is where most people end up eating, or just sitting with a drink and looking across the garden to the ocean beyond. A plunge pool sits to the side of this terrace. Upstairs you will find the principal bedroom and the second bedroom, both with their own access to a sun deck that shares the same view over the garden and sea. The third bedroom is set apart in a self-contained cottage, reached by crossing an open courtyard from the main house, which suits a family or a group of friends who want a bit of separate space. The garden is sunny and generous in size, and the setting was enough for The Times (UK) to list Church Point 2 among its Top 50 Villas in the Caribbean in November 2014. One thing worth knowing: in late January and the early part of February, the sound of activities from the local church nearby can sometimes carry into the villa.
