About

About this villa

Carlton Ridge House occupies the largest plot in the Carlton View Estate, set on the ridge above the West Coast, between Holetown and Speightstown. Electric gates enclose the property, and a circular paver drive sweeps past a coral stone portico and a double garage. The house measures around 6,000 square feet in total. Four bedrooms are in the main house, with two more in a fully self-contained cottage that has its own kitchen and living room. Across the whole property there are 6 bedrooms and 8 bathrooms, sleeping 12 guests. Every bedroom has its own en suite bathroom. The primary bedroom has his and hers vanities, a large walk-in wardrobe and a jacuzzi bath, and its shower converts to a steam room. One of the guest bathrooms opens directly onto a planted courtyard, so that shower is effectively open to the air. Coral stone walls, whitewashed plank ceilings and travertine floors run through the main rooms, and the bedrooms, kitchen and living room are all air conditioned. The kitchen has granite worktops, a double oven, generous counter space and a breakfast bar, suited to cooking yourselves or bringing in a chef. The living area leads out to a large covered patio used for dining and entertaining, with a full-size pool table positioned between the two spaces. The cottage has its own open-plan kitchen and living area, plus a private patio. Outside, the pool sits within the gardens on a coral stone deck, lined with wicker loungers. A covered pavilion houses a wet bar and a barbecue, and a separate gazebo offers shade elsewhere in the grounds, which are planted with flowering trees and shrubs throughout.
