Banyan House sits in the Queens Fort community in St. James, close to a stretch of beach on this part of the island's west coast. The villa was previously known as Queens Fort 10 and has since been refreshed with a new name and a contemporary look throughout. The main house is single storey and holds 5 bedrooms, with 5.5 bathrooms in total across the property. Mature trees and coconut palms surround the grounds, and a fire pit with seating and fairy lights has been added as a gathering spot for evenings outdoors. Inside, the sitting room is open and breezy, furnished in bamboo with garden views on all sides. The covered dining area seats up to 12 people and looks out over the pool and gardens, making it a natural spot for group meals. Décor across the house leans on white tones, greenery and eco-style art pieces, giving the rooms a calm, consistent feel. The principal bedroom is air-conditioned, generously sized, and has its own full ensuite bathroom. Two further bedrooms follow the same decorative style, each with an ensuite bathroom fitted with a rain shower, plus basin sinks set on washboard-style shelving. The kitchen has been fully renovated and includes a small breakfast nook along with a stove suited to serious cooking. A buffet area sits just off the kitchen, useful for laying out food family-style. Outside, the pool is the centrepiece of the garden, bordered by generous deck space and set against a backdrop of large trees, good for a slow float with a glass of wine. A gazebo nearby comes equipped with a barbecue, a wet bar and a wine cooler. For those wanting extra privacy, a separate 2-bedroom self-contained cottage on the property offers its own breezy, independent space away from the main house.
